Awesome salmon and dirty rice! The rice isn't really greasy like some other southern food spots. I travel and eat all over the country too. I do about 41 states in 3-4 months. Great mom and pop restaurant!

Food was delicious! I knew it would be when the salad was mixed greens. Atmosphere was laid back. It's downtown, but worth the effort. Should have been busier.

This seems like a place you should be a member, I felt very unwelcome and ignored, not going to beg someone to take my money.

Place really fell off from what it was

Came here to visit a friend and checked this place out... I live an hour from Martinsville but I will def be back! Great food, great beer selection, great staff and a nice laid back environment! A+++ pub!

Mountain Jack's is a very WARM and inviting environment. The owner "Ricky" ,never far, is always there to meet and greet, a very personable individual. Top shelf libations always severed with a brief history of the town and or liquor. Overall, good quality food. There is always some tantalizing event each day of the week. Pool tables, live music and a youthful crowd .... cant go wrong.

I had heard mixed reviews of Mtn'Jax. It may have been because of the particular band last night, Evergreen, but it was a great, clean crowd and a wonderful band. Anyone would've enjoyed it. Will definitely try it again. Last night, 5 star.

It was a great place to go. But it has closed down now. I was there with my fiancee, my best friend and her fiancee. We loved going there.

Rick Martin provides not only GREAT AMERICAN CUISINE Food, but also Live Music, Trivia, Line Dancing, Salsa, Wine Testing, Billiards & MUCH MORE! Mtn' Jax meals are filling and delicious and I recommend this Restaurant & Pub to anyone local or otherwise!

Love love LOVE this place! The food is very good and they work hard to make sure you are happy. The bartender makes a great drink, the music is pretty amazing for this small town and I always have a great time.

Live bands , typically bar food , over priced food and drinks. Small portions especially appetizers! Good floor lay out. Slow service, rude waitress great owners . If one goes for bands only it's great!

They been having salsa classes on Wednesday nights, great place to wind out catch a beer get a snack and hang out with some friends

Absolutely the best bar in this backwoods of a town. If Martinsville could be known for just 3 things I'd say it would be for the speedway, for having a Wal-Mart, and for Mtn'Jax

Nice selection of beer available. Building is in two halves, one side is pool tables and the other is bar, seating and stage. They also have small areas out front on sidewalk to sit/stand that you can drink in. They were doing karaoke when I stopped in, and they had a little audio difficulties on couple songs. Music was loud. They serve food as well, and have TV set up in bar area. Wasn't there long enough to rate fully, but they seemed busy.
